Looks Eyecare was established in 1948 by Dr. Raymond M. Paz under the name The Optometric Vision Center (OVC). Dr. Paz, who was a native Las Crucen provided optometric care to Las Cruces and the surrounding community for forty years. The City of Las Cruces recognized Dr. Paz’s community service in 1979 with the dedication of the Raymond M. Paz Sports Complex. Dedicated to his family, community, and country, Dr. Paz established the firm business foundation that Looks enjoys today. In 1988, Dr. Paz passed the practice on to his youngest son, Dr. Thomas Paz. Committed to the values, principles, and standards of optometric care established by his father, Dr. Thomas Paz continues to serve the needs of Las Cruces and the surrounding area.  In 1993 he relocated from the downtown Las Cruces area to a larger clinic at 330 E. Boutz Road.  In 1999 Dr. Adrian Tenorio joined the practice and has helped Looks become the standard in eye care.

Our doctors are therapeutic optometrists and provide a broad range of professional eye care services that include pediatric care, contact lens fittings, eyeglass prescriptions, dry eye examination, diabetic eye examination, cataract and refractive surgery consultation, and much more. Looks Eyecare also invests in the latest computerized instrumentation designed to aid in the detection and treatment of eye disorders and diseases.

Looks Eyecare offers two additional services for its patients. The first is the eyewear studio, which provides a full spectrum of optical lenses and the latest in designer frames. The second, is the contact lens studio and clinical department, which provides comprehensive therapeutic and cosmetic contact lens fittings. Cosmetic lenses will enhance or change the color of your eyes.

Looks Eyecare presently has a staff who strives to provide the finest services and products to their patients.  As a practice, Looks Eyecare plans to keep growing to serve the needs of its community.  But as it grows, our Looks team will ensure that the ideals of the practice remain the same.
